Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Welcome to a new Caffeine Fueled Paper Play!  Today I’m playing along with the 25 Days of Christmas Tags inspired by and using some beautiful Studio Katia products!   If you haven’t heard of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags, you need to check out the main post here!  It’s a month long celebration of the Christmas Tag.  You have chances to win by commenting and/or playing along!  Each day a Sponsor shares on the event blog and to play along just choose one of the tags featured on the blog during the 25 Days of Christmas Tags event that inspired you and create a tag using that inspiration.  Link up your tag and include the info about your inspiration tag… whose tag and what day!  Here’s how I was inspired:

I was inspired by a tag created by Liliya Rystar and shared on Day 11, Super Sponsor Studio Katia’s day to share!  You can see her tag here! I was inspired by her use of non-Christmas stamp sets; the nature element, the gold.  I used one of my favorite tags from Super Sponsor Stamplorations.  I needed a large tag because this gorgeous image from Studio Katia is a good size.  I used some snowflake and other images from Miss Ink Calm & Bright and Woodcut Floral Background and heat embossed them with Wow Metallic Gold Embossing Powder and splattered a little bit of Heidi Swapp Gold Colour Shine over it.

Next I stamped, die cut and colored this beautiful floral image from the Cup of Thanks stamp set.  Reds are my favorite Copics and the ones I fear the most…lol!  I stuck with a similar color palette to Liliya’s… with just a little more red.  She added some metallic gold balls to her cacti, and to mimic that, I used a gold gel pen to color the balls in this floral arrangement and then added some Liquid Glass over them.  I added a gold edge to my plate too… ’cause why not!

And similar to my inspiration tag, I used a word die (the Merry die from Super Sponsor Trinity Stamps was perfect) for my sentiment and cut it from gold foiled paper and finally some white and gold baker’s twine.
