It’s time for Brew & Craft Your Stash!! Challenge #34 in the 75 Creative Card Challenges Magazine by Paper Crafts 2013!! Grab your drink of choice and get ready for some great crafty ideas!!!
Challenge #34 – Use Entire Package of Embellishments! This is a fun challenge as we all have embellishments that haven’t been used!! The four cards in the magazine used a range of embellishments on their cards! One used cut felt smiley faces, another use flower embellishments. The other cards used buttons and 3D circle embellishments!
This was a fun challenge for me! At first I had no idea what embellishment package to use! So I left that until the end! I started by using Concord & 9th Daily Wear and matching die. I stamped the girl, book and coffee mug. I used a stitched rectangle to cut out the face, then the matching dies for the book and coffee mug. Then I used my Spectrum Noir markers to color everything up.
I need more Birthday cards so I went with the birthday sentiment, stamping it in the bottom left corner. Then I adhered the book and coffee mug with foam tape.
I picked out some pretty pattern paper and adhered it to a white card base. Then I started going through my embellishments to find what I could use all on a card. Finally I found a package of cork dots! Like enamel dots they come on a clear acetate sheet. I liked how they were arranged on the sheet, small to large. I cut each row and then played with placement on my card base. When I liked the placement I adhered each dot with some liquid adhesive.
The cork is the same thickness as my foam tape, so I added some foam tape in-between the rows of cork. This way the colored panel has some more support. I also used some liquid adhesive with the cork to help adhere the colored panel to the cork. A little weight while it dried and then it was all ready to go.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!! I hope this inspires you to grab a package of embellishments and use it ALL!!!
