Hello Coffee Lovers!! Happy Halloween!!
It’s time for Brew & Craft Your Stash!! Challenge #33 in the 75 Creative Card Challenges Magazine by Paper Crafts 2013!! Grab your drink of choice and get ready for some great crafty ideas!!!
Challenge #33 – Mask With A Stamp. All the four cards in the magazine do masking with various stamps. I ended up hiding my masking, but I still love how my card turned out!!
I started by using Concord & 9th mug die from the Coffee Blend Bundle, cutting some white card stock. Then I pulled out Pretty Pink Posh Halloween Pals stamp set. I stamped and did the masking with the pumpkin and kitty! Then I used my Spectrum Noir Markers to color them images.
After coloring I thought the mug still needed something, so I though a small coffee cup would be perfect! The Coffee Blend Bundle has a small coffee cup that was the perfect size!! I stamped the small paw print from the Halloween Pals set and then colored the cup purple. I fussy cut it out and added it to my mug with foam tape.
Next, I pulled out some watercolor card stock and Papertrey Ink Summer Sunrise ink and did a bit of watercolor smooching. I used a heat gun to speed up the drying time!!
With Concord & 9th’s Sew Striped Die I cut the water-colored panel. Then I stitched up the holes the die created with purple floss. I added the coffee mug to the card with foam tape. Last I stamped Happy Halloween below the stitching. I stamped the sentiment twice, then moved the card just a tiny bit and stamped again. This helped make the sentiment a little more bold and stand out better against the background.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
