Hello Coffee Lovers!!
It’s time for Brew & Craft Your Stash!! Challenge #32 in the 75 Creative Card Challenges Magazine by Paper Crafts 2013!! Grab your drink of choice and get ready for some great crafty ideas!!!
Challenge #32 – Mask with Die Cuts & Mist or Paint. Three of the four cards in the magazines used die cuts and mist’s to create backgrounds. One card die cut clouds and a fence, then used paint to create a blue sky and green ground.
Digging in my coffee stamps and die’s I pulled out an older Simon Says Stamp coffee cut die that I think came in one of their kits (an older kit, too!). I used SSS masking paper and die cut it several times and then placed them on a panel of watercolor card stock.
Then I used a couple spray colors from Lindy’s Stamp Gang. I used my heat tool in between colors and then added a few splatters. I removed the masks and let the panel dry.
Meanwhile I used The Rabbit Hole Designs new stamp Caffeinated: Owl! I inked it up with Ink On 3 Fade Out ink, then colored it with Copic markers. This was my first time using this ink and it worked really well! Next, I fussy cut the owl out. I also stamped the Hoo Needs Caffeine? in brown ink and then trimmed it down.
I added a strip of Kraft card stock and then the Owl and sentiment with foam tape. To give the card a little sparkle I added a few brown sequins!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Don’t forget about masking with mists or paint! I know you have these supplies, so use them!! 🙂
