Welcome to a new Caffeine Fueled Paper Play! This time around I’m playing along over at the Art Impressions current challenge which is Gotta Gingham!
And here’s how I was inspired:
This Sloth-some Stamp Set…LOVE!! The adorable sloths and of course the fact that there is a coffee element makes me extra happy! I decided to go with a light and almost tropical color pallet. I don’t use yellow very much, but when I flipped through my Gingham papers I decided I needed to use it for this one. I love how light it is! I decided to use it along with that pretty minty color. One of the sentiments from the Sloth-some set was just right for a subtle background in the same color. I decided to use a darker yellow cardstock layer for a couple pops.
And then this sloth image… SO adorable!! And that sweet look on his face! But I supposed if I dipped myself in a cup of coffee I might have that look on my face…lol! I embellished with some store bought paper flowers, die cut leaves, and those awesome coffee beans are from the Cozy Coffee Dies from Paper Smooches.
I stamped the sentiment one more time onto a stitched fishtail banner from CDD; added a couple more in the gingham and darker yellow cut with the Bannerific dies from Paper Smooches along with a couple more flowers, leaves and beans. A few sequins scattered around and I was done!
So thanks for stopping! I hope you’ll join me in playing along over at Art Impressions! You have a little over a week left to play. Create something new, use gingham in your creation and link it up for the chance to win! You can play along up to two times and if you do use Art Impressions stamps, you get extra chances to win! Check out the Challenge Post here for a complete list of the rules.
And don’t forget we have the monthly challenge going on right here at the CLC! If you play along over at Art Impressions and use an AI Coffee, tea or cocoa themed product (or one from any Sponsor of the CLC past or present), you can link it up at our challenge here too!
Come back again soon for more inspiration!
