Hello there coffee loving crafty peeps! It’s Kerry here and I’m back with another Sunday Sip. I’m feeling a bit sweaty lately and I just want to jump into the deep freeze! I’m without AC and right now, the temps are about 85 in my house. I’m surviving on iced coffee and dreams of snow. I do have a portable AC unit in my bedroom so at least I have some relief while I sleep! Anyway…Summer is NOT my favorite season and I can’t wait for fall to arrive. I decided to help me get into the feeeeels of colder weather, I’d make a brrrrr card. SO here it is!
I started out by diecutting a deep purple piece of cardstock using the Reverse Stitched Scalloped Circles dies from Lawn Fawn. I love how the scallops are on the inside of the circle. After diecutting, I thought about a shaker card but decided against it because I wanted to “feel” the snow. After positioning the sentiment and stamping it with my Misti, I applied some glaze onto the white panel and sprinkled some “snow” over it. Next, I stamped and colored the polar bear. He’s really concentrating on that cuppa joe right?! The stamp set is from RG Avenue and it’s called “Barely Awake”. I colored the image with copic markers and added some white opaque gelly roll pen here and there.
After mounting the purple panel onto the sentiment panel, I tied some light blue check ribbon (from Stamps of Life) that was gifted from a crafty friend. Next, I mounted it onto a kraft panel and then mounted the whole thing onto a white card base.
I just can’t wait for winter to arrive! BRING IT ON!
Thanks for hopping over to check out today’s card. I hope it makes you smile, cools you off and gets you in the MOOOOD for snow!
