Hello all! I’m excited to be sharing my Coffee Date with you! It’s a new feature here on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers where we share a post with one (or more-may or may not be foreshadowing) of our crafty friends!
I had a lot of fun getting ready for my Coffee Date! We actually had a get together to create (or at least get started) on our makes for today! We enjoyed various forms of caffeinated beverages, got crafty and then went to dinner at Red Lobster! Meet my crafty friends; my mom, Suzanne Reynolds on the right and our friend, Melanie Richards on the left (and that’s me in the middle with my big goofy grin):
The three of us are the OG Buckeye Croppers… we’ve grown to a group of over 10 depending on where we’re meeting each month… we travel between Buckeye, AZ and Mesa, AZ and all of these ladies are among my very favorite humans! These two have their own challenge blog called Double Trouble Challenges and you’ll find a link to the current challenge later in this post.
Here’s a little bit about Melanie who lives at Stitches and Smudges:
“I am retired and live in Arizona with my husband, Bob, and cat, Sluggo. An avid seamstress, I was drawn into card making by my friends about seven years ago. In addition to finding my creative side, I enjoy the camaraderie and fellowship among card makers.”
And here’s a bit about Suzanne (or as I like to call her, Mom) who lives at I Luv Scrapping Too:
“Hi! My name is Suzanne Reynolds, originally from Buffalo, NY, married with three grown children and five grandchildren. I was a part of the work force for many years in accounting and technology; however, I am now retired and reside with my husband in the Phoenix Metro area. About 25 years ago I picked up scrapbooking and created my Christmas cards each year…so paper crafting is not new to me. It didn’t take me long after leaving the workplace to bring out my stash of old cardstock, design papers, stamps and embellishments to share my creative side. With my daughter’s encouragement I started entering my projects in challenges, participated in the seasonal Coffee Lovers Blog Hops, took on the responsibilities of a Design Team Member and last, but not least, the birth of my own Challenge “Double Trouble” a year ago.”
During our Coffee/Tea and Crafting date, we were working with some awesome Paper Smooches products! We all were to use the new Sunnyville Stamp set and Mom and Mel picked the sketch for us to use from a 2011 Paper Smooches Challenge post here!! Here’s what we used:
