Hey everyone! What’s brewin’? Robyn here and I am so excited about this new feature on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog! We get to have a Coffee Date with one of our crafty friends!
My crafty friend is Crystal Minkler. Crystal and I have been friends for four years and we met through Facebook Groups. I’ve always loved Crystal’s beautiful CAS style of cardmaking… not easy for me to do!
First a bit about Crystal:
Hi there! My name is Crystal and I’ve been making cards since the late 90’s after my Mother In Law took me to my very first workshop. I fell in love with papercrafting! When I’m not stamping or coloring, you can find me with a cup of coffee and reading or drawing in my sketchbook. I also love to play Scrabble!
And now a bit about our card inspiration:
Crystal and I are on Super Sponsor Polka Dot Orchard’s Design Team together. PDO is having a fundraiser/linky party right now and has for sale two huge collaborative digital stamp sets that feature images from so many of our sponsors here at Coffee Loving Cardmakers, all proceeds going directly to the Pittman Family! The event is called Petals for the Pittmans and you can find out more at this post here if you are interested. Whether you want to join the linky part or help out by purchasing one or both sets it’s worth a stop for the inspiration!
We decided to use one of the images from one of the digital sets and the image was donated by CLC Super Sponsor Graciellie Design. We both absolutely love this image and Crystal found the sketch.
This is the set the image we used today is on:
And here is the sketch we used from Freshly Made Sketches:
