Hey there coffee loving crafters! It’s Kerry here and I’m back with another Sunday Sip! This week I decided to dig into my stash and use one of my long forgotten stamp images. Remember this stamp from Stampendous? It is an oldie but a goodie so I don’t think I’ll ever give it up…The double perk (pun intended) to this stamp is that it is a woodblock and red rubber! WOO! Would you believe that this stamp IS still available for purchase on the Stampendous site? YEP! Check it out HERE.
I started out by coloring the stamped image on white cardstock and then I trimmed it a bit too close for my liking. To resolve this and save the image from heading to the trash, I distressed the edges a bit and used some taupe ink to age the paper a bit. I liked where it was heading so I attached a bit of corrugated paper to the edge and then dug through my paper stash for some paper that would coordinate perfectly. I found it in the “Lost and Found” 6×6 MME pad in my stash. I love the mustard-y yellows and antique vibe this pad gives off so it was perfect for this card.
To add some whimsy, I made a tiny little polka-dot bow with some new sheer ribbon then added a bit more to the card front. Perfect! To finish my card off, I attached more corrugated paper along the edge and attached this panel to a small kraft card base. I have a ton of coordinating kraft envies so this little beauty will be heading out in the mail soon!
Thanks for hopping over to check out this week’s card. I hope you were inspired to dig into your stash and give a long lost image some love. See you again next week!
