We’re so sad that it is Beatrix (Lily) Révhely’s last post for June. Where has the month gone? Please hang on until the end of her post where we will recap all of her inspiring projects that she’s shared this month.
All of us Love Ya a Latte

Hi fellow crafters! This June passed so fast, and here is it’s last week and my last guestie post. It was so much fun to create inspirations for coffee and tea lovers, this is my all time favorite theme! Thank You so much, Amy for inviting me and thank you so much, crafty friends for reading these ideas!
This time I bring you a Lawn Fawn card with a lot of fun, summer feeling, funky smiling clouds and lattes with critter friends. Let’s start!

I usually sketch my cards with pencils if I do it all, but for this one I stamped my concept together on a blank page, just to see what shall I mask and how shall I organize everything. It can be really helpful. To follow my concept I needed a lot of Lawn Fawn stamp sets, but as a fan, I have a lot of them, so had no problem with finding the right elements and words. It is variable, use what you have!

The first step was my background, I blended it with two colors of distress oxides: tumbled glass and shaded lilac on watercolor paper. While it was drying I cut lots of little clouds from “Watercolor wishes” petite paper pack leftovers. I usually use my Sidekick to die cut the little elements, it’s always on my table.

I heat embossed the sentiments and used EK tools before stamping to be sure about the sharp texture of the words. Did the same for the tiny flowers which can be found on the “Butterfly kisses” stamp set.

I used my stamped concept as a guideline for my work, so when I started the stamping I put it beside me to see it. The creatures with lattes needed masking technique: had to stamp first the creatures, mask them, then stamp the mugs and coffee borders.

I colored the images with Copic markers and had to fussy cut them, because there is no die for special images… When my hand was tired I let them rest with some stamping: put funny faces on clouds by using the tiny elements of “Be hap-pea” stamp set.

After coloring and fussy cutting for the critter eyes I carefully used black enamel accents because I wanted the cute realistic look on their faces. While these were drying, I made the card base and finished the little tags.

When everything was ready, I used mini 3d foam squares to give some dimension to the card and built all together. To finish the card I’ve used the white gel pen to highlight some areas.

Super cute, right?! We’re so glad that you stopped by and wanted to share Lily’s other projects from this month:
