Hello Coffee Lovers!!
It’s time for Brew & Craft Your Stash!! Challenge #24 in the 75 Creative Card Challenges Magazine by Paper Crafts 2013!! Grab your drink of choice and get ready for some great crafty ideas!!!
Challenge #24 – Use Stitching. I usually have a photo of the Magazine and supplies used, but I wasn’t able to get it done in time. Life sometimes interferes! Three of the card used a sewing machine to do their stitching creating a heart, circle or followed the zig zag of some pattern paper. The fourth card used all 6 strands of pink floss to add some details to a die cut circle.
My card today features my favorite kind of stitching: Cross Stitching! I used Altenew Peg Board Canvas Cover die and cut some white card stock. Next, I picked out a coffee cup stamp from Essentials by Ellen Oh Frappe set.
I used some light brown ink, but did a stamp off first to make sure the image is very light. I didn’t want to see the lines when I was done stitching.
Next, I started stitching! It did it in the evening and it took me 3 evenings. I really love how it turned out! I used random colors from my current cross stitch project and to finish it I added the back stitching.
After the stitching I adhered the panel to a black card base. I stamped and white embossed the Let’s Venti! Coffee Understands sentiment on black card stock. Then I adhered a strip with the sentiment to the front of the card!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspires you to try stitching in your card making!!
