Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Welcome to a new Caffeine Fueled Paper Play!  I’m excited to bring you a fairly new challenge over at The Rabbit Hole Designs Fan Page on Facebook!   The challenge now through August 14th is Anything Goes and here’s how I was inspired:

This dino from The Rabbit Hole Designs…so cute, right??  Even a T-Rex can be loveable once he’s had his coffee!  Have you seen all of the awesome Caffeinated Critters available from The Rabbit Hole Designs??  Check them all out here!  This guy has been begging me to get onto a card so I had to oblige!

I decided to play along over at Kat Scrappiness as well since they are now carrying some awesome The Rabbit Hole Designs products!  Their challenge this month is Meals With Dad!  Create a card with a Father’s Day and/or Food theme and link it up!  I started with that beautiful Peacock Background Die… I cut it out and then used a couple green Distress Oxide colors on it and splattered it with some metallic watercolors.  I added a bacon and eggs strip from the Doodlebug So Punny Paper Pad.

Next… my dino… omg… love his little toe poking out of his slipper!!  I colored him in with my Copics and popped him up in the corner… of COURSE he’s having coffee with his food!

As usual, my challenge was the sentiment… I mean.. no one has the sentiments that tend to flow through my brain…lol!  I LOVE to build them using various stamps and dies.  For this one I grabbed the “but first” from a cool La-La Land stamp set I got on my last vacation, Take It Sloth… and yeah… it’s got coffee on it too…lol!  Then what to do about the “breakfast” part??  Well, luckily I had recently picked up the oh so cool and wonderfully sized Loopy Letters alphabet die set… more vacation shopping…lol!  It was just what I needed!  I used the Stitched Flag dies from Kat Scrappiness to highlight my sentiment and added the toaster from the So Punny papers along with a few sequins.

And there you have it!
