Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Welcome to a new Caffeine Fueled Paper Play!  We’re going to do something a little different this time around because I’m on vacation!  We’re gonna have a challenge here on the CLC Blog!  We LOVE our Sponsors here at Coffee Loving Cardmakers so we’re going to celebrate them!  Just create any coffee, tea or cocoa themed project using any Sponsor items and link it up for a chance to win!  Here’s how I was inspired:

I LOVE this Mermazing Coffee set from Pink & Main!  So different and fun and beautiful!  I’ve been dying to ink it up so I took the opportunity to do so for today!  I thought it was the perfect set to use as I start my vacation.  I started this one by cutting two panels using the Nested Rectangle Small Stitch Die from Rubbernecker.  For one I used a rainbow of Distress Oxides and the MFT Cloud Stencil to create my rainbow sky.  With the other I blended a couple blues over the entire panel.  Then I used the WPlus9 Wave Border Die and Craftin Desert Diva’s wave die from the Outdoor Landscape Die Set to cut my waves… I love the contrast of the two dies used together.  I added my waves to the bottom of the rainbow panel using varying thicknesses of foam tape.

Next I stamped, colored and die cut my images using the coordinating dies for the Mermaizing Coffee set and inserted them into the waves…

That seems like a fun way to travel!  Oh… and did I mention the splatters?  Before I added my images to the waves, I used some shimmery watercolors to add some sea foam splatters to my waves and of course they are leaping up into the sky!  Looks like rough seas today… but coffee will help!

And the set has some really adorable punny sentiments… I chose this one.. and I had a leftover wave, so I added it behind my sentiment strip that I embossed onto a banner cut using the Paper Smooches Bannerific Dies… one of my new faves!  All that was left to do was add some pretty Mermaid Sequins from Ink Road Stamps.
