Monday is here again. Hopefully you had a delightful Easter if you celebrate and a delightful weekend if not. Hopefully this new week brings you more to look forward to. I have a fun french inspired card for you today.
This card was fun to make. I tend to like larger images but these delicate images from Hero Arts Parisian Style Collection- French Treats were very fun to work with. They offer something small and sophisticated. For this card I stamped the images on Kraft paper and colored them using Prismacolor pencils. I blended the colors and used a white pen to add highlights. I added the sentiment and then die cut it out using a MFT oval die. I wanted to pull out the colors a bit more and so I die cut some larger ovals in cardstock and DP to accent the center image. I set that aside and pulled out a slightly darker brown cardstock and made a gatefold card. I stamped the sentiment across the front of the card and then placed my center image on top.
Below you can see another shot with the gatefold slightly open.
I don’t have a picture of it here, but inside there is a slice of cake, also colored to reinforce the repeating sentiment that, “I’m sweet on you.”
Thanks for your visit today. You are always welcome to visit me on my blog- KBStamps.
May your coffee be strong and your Monday be short! 😉 ~Au revoir
