Hello, Erin, from Homemade Cards By Erin, it’s time for another Design Team close up and I’m excited to share a little bit more about myself and my card motivation. I live in Northern California with my husband and 2 boys. We own and run a small motel and campground in our town of Nevada City. I often tell people that I have lived around the globe (having spent 5 years in New Zealand) and am now happy back on the block that I grew up on. When I’m not working, I can be found taking photos, cooking, drinking wine or hanging out with my family. I’m super passionate about social media and love showcasing our little town (you can follow the campground along on Instagram or check out my local things to do blog). My crafty time is in the 5am hour and is always shared with a cup of coffee.
Some of my favorite supplies are My Favorite Things, Altenew, Papertrey Ink, Tim Holtz, Concord & 9th. My go to design is clean and simple and I love white on white or kraft with a pop of red. I’ve often inspired by card challenges to get my inspirational juices flowing and I love discovering new uses for craft supplies that I already have. I am a sucker for just about any coffee related craft supply and have a robust collection of camping themed goodies and tag dies.
My go to caffeinated beverage is pour over coffee with a dollop of milk. I like my coffee super strong in a ceramic mug. I’m known to enjoy a flat white or an iced latte when out and about but have a thing for reusable cups and no straws.
My craft desk is rarely clean, and I’m not known for putting things away… I love sharing my cards and while I sell a few here and there, I am trying to work on mailing more cards to people who will appreciate them.
