Welcome to a new Caffeine Fueled Paper Play! Today I’m playing along with the April Sketch Challenge over at Super Sponsor White Rose Crafts LLC Blog! Stick around ’til the end for a chance to win a little something!
Here is the sketch:
And here’s how I was inspired:
You should know… I’m usually pretty liberal with a sketch challenge. To me it’s a starting point… a base if you will.. and I’m not afraid to flip them and add some extras here and there.. how about you? Are you a purist when it comes to a sketch? Or do you tend to treat them as suggestions?
I started with that pretty paper from MFT. I substituted banners for the vertical strips. I used that pretty stitched heart from Craftin Desert Diva’s Mini Shaker Clip Dies to create some shaker windows in the white banner. I got lucky and three fit perfectly on it. I added a strip of acetate behind and foam tape and filled those hearts with some beautiful Doodles Paper Playground Sparkle Blend Sequins from the White Rose Craft shop. So pretty right?? Love how these blends have so many different shades and shapes of sequins and other fun sparkly bits!
Here’s where I went rogue…lol! I knew I wanted to use one of the cute little bunnies from the Heffy Doodle Honey Bunny Boo Stamp Set… I got mine over at White Rose Crafts! I decided this one looked like she could be holding a coffee cup. I got out my handy dandy teeny weeny Tiny Coffee Cup Die from Memory Box and cut her a cup in purple! Well, of course bunnies drink coffee! How do you think they move around so quickly?
And then I built my sentiment using that awesome Coffee Die from CAS-ual Fridays, the Hoppy from the Heffy Doodle stamp set, and a stamp from Whipper Snapper Designs called This Coffee.
And that’s how this girl does sketches…lol!
I hope you’ll play along over at White Rose Crafts too! You have until April 26th to play along. Just use the sketch to create any kind of project using at least one product that is available in the White Rose Crafts LLC Shop and be sure to say how you were inspired. With a wide array of items in their shop I’m sure you have something in your stash that is available there! There is also an optional theme for April which is Feminine, including, but not limited to Floral and Mother’s Day cards. I added some flowers and pretty pink and purple to mine! To play along, head over to the White Rose Crafts Gallery on Facebook and add your entry to the April Challenge album and share! You can link to your blog, but no other shops please. You could win a $15 gift certificate to the White Rose Crafts shop! The winner will be announced April 27th. Full list of rules is available in the group so join now!

Now, it’s time to announce the winner of the Gina K Designs Perfect Blend Stamp Set from my DT Closeup. There were 4 correct answers! #1 My Favorite Coffee is Tim Hortons French Vanilla Cappuccino is such a lie… YUCK!! I do not like French Vanilla… I’m a weirdo… my actual favorite is Tim Hortons English Toffee Cappuccino… although I don’t think they serve it anywhere in the US any more and it makes me sad. But I’ll be ok! And yes, I do have a large tattoo on my back and I do make fresh brewed tea a couple times a week and infuse myself with iced Black Mango tea all day at work. Stay tuned for a possible pic of my tattoo if I can find a way to get a good and decent one…lol! And I’ll share it on my own blog… I wouldn’t do that to Amy here…lol! And the winner of the stamp set is:
