Welcome to a new Caffeine Fueled Paper Play! This time around I’m playing along with a challenge over at Lawn Fawnatics Blog:
Yup! It’s all about food over there and idk… I’ve had coffee as a meal before so here we go! Here’s how I was inspired:
I love the Upon A Star stamp set from Lawn Fawn… as soon as I saw it with its sweet critters looking up at the star filled sky.. I knew I had to have it! But this one’s about food! Did you notice that awesome constellation up there?
It’s a coffee cup!…lol! I used the cup from the Thanks A Latte stamp set. I stamped the cup onto my white cardstock panel cut with a Kat Scrappiness Double Stitched Rectangle Die. I used Inkon3 Fadeout No Line Coloring Ink because I didn’t want the complete line to show. Then I stamped stars on the lines of the cup with Versamark as well as all over the panel and I added one of the constellations from the Upon a Star set and that awesome Caffeine Molecular Structure from a Rabbit Hole Designs stamp set and embossed them with white embossing powder. Once I had the coverage I wanted, I did some ink blending for my night sky. When I was done I swiped across it with a dry Stamp Shammy to whiten up the stars and constellations again. I added the dashed lines on my Cup Constellation and some more tiny stars using a white gel pen and also dotted some glitter Nuvo Drops around.
I created snowy hills using the Craftin Desert Divas Stitched Scallop Dies and then stamped, colored and die cut the critters. I kept their fur neutral and used a terry cloth rag and blending solution to add texture. And do you love those tiny coffee cups?? You can never have too many cup dies in all kinds of sizes.. you never know who might need a cup of coffee! And the hearts from the Paper Sweeties Somewhere Over The Rainbow stamps and dies were perfect as steam!
I decided on this sentiment from the Upon A Star set because I imagined that’s what the adult critters are wishing for… some more coffee in their cups!
And that’s that! I’d say that Coffee is definitely the “Star” of this card (Badoom-Cha!) I’m also playing along over at Cupcake Inspirations Woodland Critters Challenge! You should check that one out!
This Lawn Fawnatics Challenge runs through Sunday April 14th! Link up a newly created project using a Lawn Fawn Food stamp. It’s a randomly drawn prize of a $25 gift certificate to the Lawn Fawn shop!
Thanks for stopping! Come again soon and often for more Coffee Card Inspiration!
