Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Welcome to a new Caffeine Fueled Paper Play!  Today I’m playing along with two Super Sponsor Challenges!  Over at Kat Scrappiness the Challenge for March is Rainbow… well… you have noticed, I’m all about the Rainbow in March so OF COURSE I was going to play along.  And over at Gina K Designs, the Monthly Mix Challenge is Flower Power… and you know I loves me some flowers!  Especially Gina K flowers..So here’s how I was inspired:

Oh… I’m sorry… did I forget to tell you to put some sunglasses on?  So… this whole thing made me nervous… those are some beautiful flowers from Gina K’s You Make Me Smile Stamp Set.  I needed to be sure they didn’t get lost with that bold Rainbow stripe paper from the Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow paper pad.  I cut my base from the stripey paper using the Kat Scrappiness Double Stitched Rectangle dies.. this is one of my go to sets for sure.

At first I was going to color all of the flowers yellow-ish… but then as I was coloring I thought… I could have a bold rainbow of flowers as well!  It was scary… I mean.. I didn’t want to have to start over!  AND I cut my image out before I started coloring…lol!  So I really didn’t want to have to start over!  As it all started coming together I was so excited… I love the way it came out!  I popped the flowers up and I think that helped even more to make them stand out on their own.  And that cup… isn’t it sweet?  It’s from Gina K’s Perfect Blend Stamp Set.

And of course…the sentiment.  I thought those cool shaped ovals from the KS Distressed Edge Oval Dies would be a great contrast to the beautiful blooms… love those!  I used one of the sentiments from the Perfect Blend set and heat embossed it.  I popped the sentiment on black up for a little depth.  Then just a few Shimmer Sequins from Craftin Desert Divas and I was done!
