Hey, Hey, Hey- Happy Monday!
Not gonna beat around the bush this am, I am wanting to share some cuteness with you and here it is:
Yep, it is so cute it hurts me! I just love that owl and I had a ton of fun making this card. I suppose you might want to know how… and we’ll get to that in just a moment, but first…. EEP- CUTIE!
OK, OK, here is how I did it:
- I started with my image, as always, from the Waffle Flower Be Her stamp set, and colored it using my Copics. Once done, I added some white highlights with my gel pen, cut him out and set him aside.
- I got out my kraft CS and cut it to size, then ran it through with a woodgrain embossing folder. Then I came back and used my Trinity Blendability Brushes and Vintage Photo Distress Ink to add a bit of color depth
- I wanted to use my new Poppy Stamps Whittle Oval wood frame die, so I die cut that in dark brown CS.
- Die Cutting with various green CS from SU! I added leaves using Saavy dies, placing them around the tree hole and around the top to look like a tree trunk.
- I added the sentiment from Ellen Hutson’s Backyard Birds on green then mounting it on blue to pull out all the colors.
- I mounted it all on this SU! Kiwi cardstock.
Thanks for the visit and you can head to my blog for a full list of supplies. 🙂
Enjoy your Monday!
