Hello there coffee loving crafty friends! It’s Kerry here and I’m back with another fun Sunday Sip! Today is my day to share some deliciousness from the newest stamping company on the block: Miss Ink Stamps! Have you been enjoying all of the sneaks? Have you hopped over to their shop and gone shopping yet? If not, maybe my projects will get your mind set straight. HEE HEE…
I had such a fun time creating a trio of cards featuring the new COFFEELICIOUS sets: Brewtiful and Java Joe’s.
Each card was created using stamped images from these sets and were colored with Copic Markers. My first card features a happy little scene from the Java Joe’s set. The shop was stamped on green cardstock then colored with copics and colored pencils. I also highlighted a few portions with a white Gelly Roll pen. To add to the fun and whimsical design, I made my own polka-dotty stencil with my Silhouette Cameo and inked up the yummy yellow cardstock with some fun polka dots.
After painting the dots, I machine stitched a border around this yellow panel and tied some green ribbon. Next, I mounted this panel onto a white card base then assembled the rest of the scene onto this panel. I added a little brown button to finish off the embellishing.
Next up, a fancy schmancy card featuring the pretty coffee flowers and berries from the Brewtiful stamp set. I love the design of this set so I went to town researching the correct colors so that I could get my image just perfect. HA HA. I learned something new too about coffee flowers…Did you know you can steep dried coffee flowers to create a beautiful “tisane”? Now I’m on the hunt for some dried coffee flowers so I can taste it!
Now back to my card… I colored the stamped image with Copics and added some highlighting with my white Gelly Roll pen. I also gave the berries and beans a little shimmer and shine by adding some gloss to them.
It was so fun coloring this floral/berry/leafy cluster. I wanted this to take center stage on my card so I kept the rest of the card pretty clean. Of course, you know me…I can’t make a card without some ribbon or twine, so yep, I added some to this card too.
Next up is a Springy little number! I pulled the colors for the cup polka-dots and the x from the printed paper (an old Easter 6×6 pack from Super Sponsor Fun Stampers Journey) and colored with Copics. I added a bit of gloss to the X, the dots and the coffee as well.
After mounting the printed panel to the yellow cardstock, I stitched the top and bottom half of the card panel and added some orange ribbon. I REALLY love orange. 🙂
You can see a bit of the shimmer and shine on the images here:
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope my projects inspired you! I would like to thank Miss Ink Stamps for the opportunity to play with these fun images! I had a ball!
