Guest Designer – March 7

We’re so excited to have Meghan Kennihan with us this month!

Hi Crafty COFFEE-LOVING Friends,

I am SOOOO Excited to be Guest Designing this month for the Coffee Loving Cardmakers group! It is a wonderful facebook group and blog that allows caffeine loving crafters to show off our coffee, tea, and cocoa cards and crafts!

For my first post, I decided to go with rainbow colors because it’s almost St. Patrick’s Day and I’m Irish which means this month is all about clovers, luck, rainbows, and hopefully a Pot of Gold.

Make Crafty Friends Q & A:

Q:Are you Irish? Have you ever been to Ireland?

A: Me? YEP! I think I’m about 70% Irish but my brother lives in Dublin, Ireland so I like to claim I’m 100%. And of course I have been to visit my brother in Dublin but I have also been to Galway which is gorgeous!

I started by lining up the mugs to see how long I had to make the card. Turns out it needed to be 4.25 x 7.5. Not your typical card size but I wanted all the mugs to have their cute little faces showing!

Next, I picked my background paper. I knew I wanted to use this adorable rainbow paper pack from Sunny Studios and since we all LOVE coffee, I chose HEARTS. Then made a centerpiece using the plaid and brown so that the mugs would stand out a little more.

I colored each mug to match one of the hearts and added some glossy accents to the coffee inside, whip cream, crazy eyes, and mustaches to give them a little extra pop (hard to see in the pics)

Thank you so much for stopping by and for having me as a guest on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog. I had so much fun bringing you a rainbow of coffee and I hope I gave you a little caffeinated inspiration and maybe luck of the Irish for the month. Cheers!

I am a Personal Trainer and Run Coach who has a nasty craft habit on my “rest” day. I love all things crafty especially card making and scrapbooking. As you can tell from my profile picture. I am a dog mom to Maddie, the love of my life. Please visit my blog here and instagram here and you can answer my “Make Crafty Friends Q & A” on all my posts so we can get to know each other.
