Hello! I was so excited when Super Sponsor Newton’s Nook Designs sent me their Caffeinated Cats set.
I decided to keep the overall image clean + crisp so I watercolored Newton and all of his friends with coffee. The additional coloring I did was with copics so that I had more control of the coverage in the smaller spaces.
The morning I started my project I was making my coffee and decided to pour another cup to give the watercoloring a try. Keeping things real, I had to keep reminding myself NOT to drink out of that particular mug.
The image is so fun to color, I just stamped it out on bristol paper. I dropped beads of coffee onto the images, let them soak in for a bit and then finished it off with my heat gun.
If you’ve been following me for the last couple of weeks I’m still smitten with coral and love it teamed up with the woodgrain.
The next time I play with this set, I’m going to color up each of the images. I already have some ideas brewing.
