It’s Monday, you’ve survived the weekend and hopefully you will survive today as well. I am sitting here “snowed in” with my daughter as school is cancelled. How much snow you ask? Not as much as mid-western states for sure, but we tend to shut down here with snow. Really, the region isn’t equipped for it, by way of tires, plows, salt/sand, etc. When there is a big snow our two snowplows (exaggeration) have a lot of work to do. And we have a whole lot of steep hills. Most of the time it ends up being compact ice and… well, that sucks.
Onto the post, and it is appropriate given the weather here!
Isn’t that Yeti the cutest!?! OK, you know me enough by now that any Yeti is fabulous, but this one makes me happy with the pink.
So, let me tell you what I have done here. The inspiration for this card came from the Flora & Fauna Mini Envelope die and the Poppy Stamps Donut Die. I thought they would make the perfect combo together. So I went about cutting them both with scrap paper. I added the Trinity Stamps Sweet & Tart Heart embellishment mix to accent the donuts. I also wanted the holder to have a cup of coffee and that is compliments of the Seasonal Sweetheart set from Trinity Stamps.
Now to find the perfect suspect to hold them, HELLO YETI! This one is from the Hello Bluebird set, colored with Copics. I made the background by die cutting this heart from PTI in glitter paper. I adhered it to my base and used my Spun Sugar distress ink inside with my Trinity Blendability Brushes, and also around the borders. I stamped the sentiment in a brighter pink, added more hearts and done! Here is another shot.
i hope you like this card and it gives you a smile. Enjoy your coffee today!
