We’re so excited to share that Esther Asbury is one of our February Guest Designers!

Hello everyone, my name is Esther and I live in the beautiful state of Virginia! I’m honored and excited to be a guest designer here on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog this month. A little about me……I’m a homeschool mom to one teenage daughter, wife of a small town pastor, and the owner of two spoiled Labs! I enjoy a variety of things in my spare time….working in my flower beds, baking, decorating, crocheting, knitting, reading, and playing the piano — but at the end of the day the hobby I come back to the most is card making. I belong to a card ministry that sends happy mail to hurting people all over the USA. I love that I can use my favorite hobby (card-making) to bring cheer and encouragement to adults and children who are going through a difficult time.

For today’s card, I created a bright and cheery Valentine’s themed coffee card using several products from Graciellie Designs.

I started with a background from Gracielle’s Sweet Love digital paper pack and layered a sentiment from the coordinating Sweet Love digital stamp set across the front. After printing, I matted it on a piece of black cardstock.

Next, I printed the coffee cup from the Stay Strong digital stamp set and colored it with my Prismacolor Pencils. After fussy cutting I added some glitter accents (Valentine Dark Red Glitter – Art Acentz) to the straw and whipped topping. The hearts were from a Dollar Tree table scatter pack – I trimmed them to fit the coffee cup.

To complete my card, I added a white die cut heart (Lace Hearts – Spellbinders), and black heart border (Martha Stewart border punch), along a baker’s twine bow, and a little punched banner in the top right corner.

The sentiment is from Unity Stamps (Bitty Regards) and is stamped in Brilliance Moonlight White ink (Tsukineko).
Isn’t Esther’s card gorgeous? For more inspiration please follow her blog + instagram.
