Hey there coffee loving papercrafters! It’s Kerry here and I’m back with another Sunday Sip! This one is kind-of a RE-DO! Have you ever finished a card and just REALLY didn’t like how it turned out? Well, I did and that was the card in my last post. I REALLY disliked how it turned out when it was done so I decided to REWORK it! Yeah, I spent a lot of time on the coloring of the image and I didn’t want to just pitch the whole card so I decided to rescue the image and try another layout. I THINK I like this card much better…maybe…
So to create my card, I started out by selecting a card base color that would work well with the image. I pulled some old textured cardstock from my stash that was in this pretty plum color. I don’t really care for purple, but this color is a favorite. I then stamped some kraft cardstock with the coffee stain image (and Catherine Pooler ink) from the Inky Antics Coffee Break #1 set and then attached a bit of white cardstock above that. I mounted it onto the card and then attached the colored image to the leftover pink circle that was diecut from the original shaker card.
After that, I attached some ribbon and stamped a little “tag” with the Java nice day sentiment. You know, I’m imagining this image as ME on the first day back to school on Monday. OH MY!
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a wonderful week!
