Caffeine Fueled Paper Play – Kat Scrappiness and Sunny Studio Stamps!

Welcome to a new Caffeine Fueled Paper Play!  I do think this may be my last time on the blog until the New Year!  So I’ll take a minute to say to all of you Merry Christmas and the Happiest of New Years to you!  See you next year!  Today I’m playing along with the December challenge over at Kat Scrappiness which is Winter Wonderland!

And here’s how I was inspired:

I picked this adorable Sunny Studio Alpaca Holiday Stamp set a short while ago and knew I wanted to use it for a coffee card of some sort!  I started with some layers cut using one of my favorite go to dies sets from Kat Scrappiness, the Double Stitched Rectangle Dies.  I cut the largest from one of the papers from the Sunny Studio Holiday Cheer paper pad.  I love these papers because they have such pretty winter/Christmas papers in such beautiful bright colors!  Then I cut my large to go cup using the Layered Coffee Cup Die from KS.  This cup die is awesome because of all of the detail… that lid, right?  I cut the cup from some more of the paper from the Holiday Cheer pad and the other parts from white cardstock.

I used some Tumbled Glass and Crushed Olive distress inks to color the cup wrap and the Tumbled Glass on the lid pieces.  I stamped, colored and cut the mountain scenery from the Alpaca Holiday set and added that to the wrap for my “background”.

And of course my favorite part … these adorable little Alpacas in their adorable little winter outfits!!  I stamped colored and cut them out along with the presents from the set and started layering it all together.

Sweetness!  I fussy cut the little cocoa cups from one of the papers from the Holiday Cheer papers because i’m sure these little guys need some cocoa out there in the tundra!  Those Mini Snowflakes from Lawn Fawn cut from glitter paper… love to tuck those around in various places.  They were the perfect size!

And to finish it off this lovely sentiment from the Alpaca Holiday stamp set… it was easy to add it last right onto my card base using my Misti!  I normally will add my sentiment to a banner or some other shape, but for this one I couldn’t bear to cover up any of my parts so it was perfect right up at the top!  Of course I scattered around a few of my favorite Shimmer Sequins from CDD and I was done!

So there you have it!  You have until the end of the month to play along over at Kat Scrappiness for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the shop!  You don’t have to use Kat Scrappiness products, but they love it when you do!  You can get the details and link up over at the Winter Wonderland Challenge Post here!  Hope you play along and have fun!

And Kat Scrappiness has a sale going on through the 25th!  I mean… you deserve a little gifty for yourself for all you do for everyone during the holidays don’t you think??

And!  You have until tomorrow (Thursday December 20th) to hop and comment for a chance to win from the National Cocoa Day Blog Hop with The Stamps of Life!  There are a couple of chances to win along the way so don’t miss out!
