Hello Coffee lovers!!

The Coffee Loving Cardmakers Fall/Winter Blog Hop is still going strong! Make sure to stop by and check out the TON of coffee inspiration and play along for your chance to win some crafty goodness from our wonderful sponsors!!

It’s time for a new Brew & Craft Your Stash!! Challenge #10 in the 75 Creative Card Challenges Magazine by Paper Crafts 2013!! Grab your drink of choice and get ready for some great crafty ideas!!!

Challenge #10 – Make Your Own Buttons. So I skipped Challenge #9, it was Use Bleach.I don’t have bleach and I’m moving next week and don’t need anything more to move! LOL!!  The magazine has two cards featuring handmade buttons. One card punched some small holes on cork and wood to make buttons and the other used button shaped dies.

I have button shaped dies, I pulled them out and was looking at them, thinking about how to use these for a coffee card. And then it hit me!! Make COFFEE BUTTONS!!! So a look through my coffee stamps I found Coffee with Character by Trinity Stamps!  They are the perfect button size!!

I stamped three coffee images and one doughnut, then colored them up with my Spectrum Noir Markers. I colored them in shades of blue to keep with the Winter Coffee Hop theme. Then I fussy cut them out.

With a very small hole punch I punched two or four holes in each of the images. In my die stash I also had the Button Card die from Papertrey Ink. I used it with some snow pattern paper by Craft Smith called Ice Crystals.

I added white twine to the coffee ‘buttons’ and then adhered them to the button card with foam tape. From the same paper pad I added a silver foil pattern to a white card base.

Next, I cut a strip of grey card stock and then stamped the You’re A Special Blend sentiment from Joy Clair Coffee Lovers stamp set. I adhered this to the card and then added the button card with foam tape on top.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope this encourages you to use your button sized stamps in a new way!! In fact make your own fall or winter coffee buttons and link up your creations to the hop!! Be quick, its all over tomorrow!!
