Hello there Coffee Loving friends! It’s Kerry here and as I’m gearing up for the Coffee Lovers Fall/Winter Blog Hop, I have been piling up my coffee/tea/cocoa loving stamp purchases that I’ve recently received. Yes, I prepped early and shopped BEFORE all the sales, but I wanted to make sure to get the good stuff in my hands before the hop! How about you? Have you done some shopping in prep for the hop? Can’t wait to see what everyone makes!
I pulled this yummy set from Brutus Monroe out of the pile to make a quick Sunday sip card. This set is called Cozy Coffee and it pairs so perfectly with the “Here Comes Santa” printed paper by PhotoPlay that I picked up at Super Sponsor Butterfly Reflections Ink. It’ll be a great set for Valentine’s Day too!
I stamped and colored the cup with Copic Markers then cut it out and started to stamp the heart paper. The hearts came from the gorgeous stamp set. To lighten up the color and make the card more “rustic”, I brushed a bit of ivory acrylic paint over the image and splattered some black ink over the top. I love this look (I know some would cringe at covering up some Copic Coloring).
To finish the card off, I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx ink and assembled the card. I then distressed the edges of the card panel with my fingernail and mounted this panel onto a dark gray card base. FINISHED!
Thanks for hopping by to see my card today. I can’t wait to see you in a few days as we HOP TILL WE DROP in the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Fall/Winter Blog Hop!
Love the card? Like the sketch? Why not use this sketch to create something for the hop? Go ahead, play away! Add your card in the link up below or share it on the blog hop!
