Happy Monday! It is Thanksgiving here in the US this week. I am looking forward to having a few days off and enjoying some good food with family and friends. Given that, it would be great if I had a Turkey on my card, but I don’t, hopefully you will still enjoy it.
Here is my card for today. Cute on the outside and has a little treat on the inside… wait for it. I almost always us a white base, and typically have top fold cards, so I scored and folded that and set aside. Then I pulled out this light sage colored cardstock from SU!, cut it lightly smaller than the base. I used my Lawn Fawn Lift the Flap die to cut the peek-a-boo window and Used a Taylor Expression embossing folder to add the stars. I cut a small white snow bank and used the Lift the Flap to make the bottom match. I adhered and then created a hole punch in both. I stamped part of my sentiment from Avery Elle and added the twine. I set this aside and worked on my cute little snowman from Your Next Stamp Holiday Buddies Stamp set. I colored him, fussy cut him and added him to the scene with dimensionals. Lastly for the top layer I added these snowflakes cut in sparkle paper, these are from X-cuts.
I love the tease this gives you when you first pick it up. What do you think is inside? Shall I show you….
There it is, the inside! The outside says “Wishing you…” The inside says “Joy this Holiday Season.” Again, the sentiment is from Avery Elle. The J and the Y are ephemera from a paper pack, long waiting to be used. The O is from the Warm Christmas Wishes set from YNS. I colored the whip cream and holly and paper pieced the cup. Unfortunately, I can’t recall who makes this polka-dot paper but it makes the perfect backdrop.
Hope you enjoyed this today. I appreciate your visit!
