Laura Jata is back again with us as one of our November Guest Designers!
Greetings, Coffee Lovers!!! Coffee is said to be the best Monday motivator and after the weekend (which always goes by too fast!!!), one surely needs an extra cup to overcome the challenges of a new week.

I have decided to create a card that is a little bit more special, personal and surprising…. …Drumroll please…

It is a Pop-Up Gift Card Holder. A sure way to make anyone’s Monday or cheer up any coffee loving friend.

To make this card, I started with 11-inch-long and 4.25″ wide piece of cardstock. I scored it at 4.5″, 5.5″ and 6.5″. I folded the scored sections and adhered it with some score tape at the bottom. To make a slot for the gift card, I used one of the Spellbinders Curved Rectangles die.
I then decorated the outside of the card using patterned paper by YNS called ‘Crazy for Coffee’ and added a die cut layer of blue cardstock.
For the images, I used a stamp set by Jane’s Doodles called ‘Coffee Time’ and did some coloring using ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
Next, I die cut two ‘Border Edgers’ by Penny Black and used it to decorate the inside of the card.
Lastly, I stamped the sentiment ‘Enjoy’ and this completed my card.

I also have a video tutorial, sharing how I put this card together.
I hope you enjoyed this creative spin on the traditional giftcard holder and I wish you a brew-tiful Monday!
I share my adventures in cardmaking and papercrafting on Instagram as @graciousgreetingsart as well as on my Facebook fan group for Gracious Greetings Art.
