Hello there Coffee Loving crafters! It’s Kerry here with another Sunday Sip and Share post. I was inspired to create some rainbowlicious cards featuring Therm-o-web’s Rainbow Deco Foil Transfer Sheets and Graciellie Designs Stay Strong Digi Set (on sale now!). I’m a bit addicted to this rainbow foil and you know, a little goes a long way! I used a small strip of the foil to create these three cards!
To create my first card (and the card that inspires this week’s sketch), I foiled the frappuccino first from a Xerox machine copy. After that, I brushed some Transfer Medium onto the white card panel and used the remnants of that foil to create a fun rainbow panel. I’m sure you can see a hint of the frappuccino foiling remains.
I love how the foil is raised like embossing over the image, don’t you?! I colored the image with a bit of Copic coloring just to add a pop of color-other than the rainbowlicious-ness. HEE HEE.
To create my second card, I foiled the sentiment first and then applied it to a teal panel. I stitched some wavy/steamy lines on some white cardstock for texture, then mounted the sentiment. Easy peasy!
Just look at that rainbow goodness right there! 🙂
Adding a few golden pearls gave this card a bit more of the dimension I like to have on my cards.
I used what remainded from the sentiment foiling on the final card. My most favorite technique with DecoFoil is brushstrokes of Transfer medium so I added some Transfer Medium and applied the foil to that. I love how it allows the brushstrokes to shine!
I also foiled the little flower and colored it with Copic markers.
Just gorgeous shimmer and shine! I think the unicorns would be happy! LOL.
And if you enjoyed these quick and frugal cards, perhaps you will enjoy the sketch for this week! Inspired my my first card, this sketch is clean, simple and packs a punch! Give it a try! Just add your link to the inlinkz below. We’d love to see your creation!
