Life begins after coffee…

Happy Wednesday everyone! Lori here, and I’m not sure about you but I struggle with one layer cards. I have been admiring so many of them lately and it’s almost like the craft world was “telling me” that I have to make a one layer card this week! LOL…so I am sharing this pretty, pastel one-layer-wonder!

I have been watching a lot of videos on distress oxide inks lately and decided to give a one layer card a try. I searched up “one layer cards” on Pinterest and I came across this easy-to-follow video from Karin’s Corner HERE and I used her technique to create my card.

I dug out my silicone mat, 3 pretty colors of Distress Oxide (Cracked Pistachio, Mustard Seed and Worn Lipstick), “Coffee Helps” stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey, some paper towel, and a water spritzer then got busy! So fun!

I was feeling that the card needed just a little “sumthin’ sumthin” so I added some silver pearls to the corners and coffee cup and I really love it. It’s very simple yet has such wow factor in real life! And how easy to mail! Whoop! Whoop!

Thanks for stopping in today to see what I have been up to! Have a wonderful, java-filled day! Cheers!!

    Fabulous card, Lori!
I, too, have a very hard time with one layer cards..sometimes I feel like it isn’t finished or heavy enough. This one looks easy enough that I may have a go at one myself!
    Thanks for the inspiration!!!
