Hey there coffee loving crafters! It’s Kerry here and I’m back with another Sunday Sip and Share creation. As has many of my fellow coffee loving papercrafters, I’m enjoying my new My Monthly Hero kit that just arrived this week. I love that they were thinking of us (hee hee) when they were planning the August Kit! As of today, there are still some kits available-so if you are thinking about getting this kit, you should definitely order soon! It’ll sell out, I’m sure. Here’s a little link to help make shopping easier (Just click on the image to get you right over to it):
I went with a monochromatic theme to tie in all the goodies that were included in the kit!
Just look at that yummy foam! I haven’t used puffy embossing powder in ages and this version is so fun! It’s kind-of hard and crispy- not foamy/smushy like I’ve experienced in the past. The Cocoa watercolor is fun too. That was an add on that I just had to get and I’m glad I did because it is already sold out! I just spritzed my kraft cardstock with water and flicked some of the watercolor on until I liked it. I diecut the cups after I dried the cardstock. To stamp the sentiment and the design on the cups, I used Rich Cocoa Memento ink. it pairs beautifully with the yellow/orangey browns in this kit.
To create my card, I incorporated the tea/coffee dyed paper, the diecuts, the white puff embossing powder (applied with the clear lacquer), the tissue paper my kit was wrapped in and the ribbon tied around my stamp set.
Like this card? I’ve created a sketch inspired by it and encourage you to play along and create something fun with it. Make sure to add your creation to our inlinkz below! We’d love to see what you make!
