Hey there Coffee Loving friends! It’s Kerry here and I’m back with another fun Sunday Sip and Share! Did you enjoy the Collaboration hop with Fun Stampers Journey this Friday? I hope you were inspired by all the amazing inspiration! SOOOO Much good stuff! If you didn’t have a chance to hop the hop and check things out, you still have time to enjoy the hop so make sure to visit all the blogs (and comment) for your chance to win a prize!
I have a few more cards featuring the Coffee Helps stamp and die set from Fun Stampers Journey, so I thought I’d share them today. I hope they make you smile…and cool you off from this horrible heatwave!
My first card has a little FUNKY Christmas theme! I love non-traditional colors for Christmas cards and this one checks that box! This card just made me smile the whole time I was crafting. As you can see, the sparkly washi peeking from behind the triangles makes for a nice snowy vibe! Love it! The little snowflake diecuts also helped carry out the wintery theme.
Ohhh…that heart just shines! A little glaze does the trick!
To soften up the stenciled effect, I brushed water over the stenciled paint until the paper was saturated. It allowed the paint to bleed a bit and softened the edges of the paint up quite a bit!
FSJ Products Used on this card:
Coffee Helps Bundle, Black Licorice True Color Fusion Ink, Ring Stacks Stencil, Whip Cream Acrylic Paint, Electric Lime Cardstock, Pool Play Cardstock, Whip Cream Cardstock, Fun Triangles Die, Snow Blooms Die, Whip Cream Sparkle Washi Tape, Watermelon Fusion Satin Ribbon, Sweet Candy Drops, Journey Glaze
My second card also features the Coffee Helps Bundle and the Ring Stacks stencil. I love the FUN of this card! It’s quite a departure from my usual multi-layered cards, but it allowed me to add a bit of multimedia effect that helped bring it past the simple CAS designs that I struggle to produce.
This card was such a fun card to create! I love the little cup with the hearts too.
To create my blue panel, I painted the stencil onto the Beach Breeze cardstock then brushed water over the stenciled design to allow the ink to bleed a little as well as to break down the fibers in the paper. After drying the paper with my heat gun, it looked quite like mulberry paper. I really love the effect!
Can you see how the paper is pilling up? That wasn’t by accident! I wanted the paper to have a textured “mulberry paper-like” effect! Of course, adding some stitching (minus the thread) helped add another “layer” to my card. That little Spanish sentiment from Text Happy Stamp set was too perfect not to include on my card! What do you think?
