Brew & Craft Your Stash – Recap

Hello, Coffee Lovers!!

For the past year and half my posts have taken us through Paper Crafting Tips & Tricks 2012 magazine! It’s been a great way to use up some of our crafty stash! Not to fear I have another magazine with some more great ideas, but I’ll get into that in the next post!!

I thought I would do a recap! I listed and linked all the posts for products or techniques we learned about! Here and there I’ve included my favorite cards I’ve made along the way! I figured this would be an easy bookmark for you to find some great ideas to use up your crafty stash!!

I didn’t cover every idea in the magazine, living in an on-campus apartment I just can’t bring all of my crafty stash with me, plus there are just some regular household items I don’t have with me.

Whew! That’s a lot of posts!! Now I couldn’t leave today’s post without a new coffee card for you!! I used Pinkfresh Studio’s July Challenge as a starting point! The challenge is Watercolor and/or Rainbow colors!!

I started with a big piece of watercolor cardstock. Then I used my Papertrey Ink Re-inkers as watercolors. I kept it simple and with a wet brush picked up the color and painted a vertical stripe. At first, I kept added the stripes with a different color, but I got too much bleeding, so after each color, I used my heat gun to almost dry each painted stripe.

After it was all painted and dry I die cut part of it with a stitched rectangle. Then I used Pinkfresh Studio’s teacup stamp from  Tealightful Day. I was able to stamp 3 but only ended up using one on my card. I then fussy cut the cups out.

I added the die cut panel to a white card base and then added a strip of black cards stock. I stamped a couple small triangles on the background. Then I added the cup with foam tape. With my Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen I added a little shimmer to the triangles and leaves. Last I stamped the Happiness is a Cup of Tea & a Good Book below the teacup.

Thanks so much for all your comments on each of my posts!! I hope you all liked working our way through the magazine because I have another to start next time!!
