Hello there coffee loving friends. Today I’m sharing an awesome new set just released by Joy Clair this month. This new set is called Coffee Talk and it’s a wonderful collection of “Foam Art” images and fabulous sentiments. I selected three images from this set to create my card: the sketchy cup, the solid circle and the “Stay Strong” sentiment.
To create the card, I stamped the image one time using Versafine Clair Charming Pink ink onto a leftover scrap of paper (The FSJ Banana Cream Liquid Color and Sparkle Silk on this paper was blotted up from my workspace.) After that, I stamped the solid circle approximately five to six times using the Memento Desert Sand Ink then stamped again (I only inked the edges of the circle) using Memento Rich Cocoa Ink. I wanted a slight pink tinge to the coffee so I stamped the solid circle one more time with Memento Angel Pink ink. After that, I applied some pink Leisure Arts watercolor pencils to the mug to create some shadowing and then splattered a bit of watercolor with my fine paintbrush.
I stamped the sentiment “Stay Strong” onto the coffee using Hero Arts white ink spot.
I love the splatter and the sparkle on this card. Since there is no layering on this card-except for the added ribbon, it will fit nicely in an envelope today! WOO!
Look at that shimmer!
I want to thank everyone for commenting on the sweet doodly “tiny world” cup card I created last week. I enjoyed reading your comments and hope to see one of these adorable little mugs show up in your photos. I used Random Number Generator on Google to select the winner of the “Tiny World” pattern is commenter #3! That means, Debra Davison, you’re the winner! Please message me to redeem your prize!
Now, let’s get on with the first sketch challenge for the month of May! Play along with us this month. You’ll have one sketch a week to choose from and a whole month to create ONE card project inspired by one of the sketches. Please make sure to include the hashtag #clcsipandshare so that we can find your card easily!
