Hiya!!
Dana here with a new episode of Brew & Craft Your Stash!! Today I have some great ideas using Pattern Paper! We all have plenty of pattern paper, so grab your coffee or tea and settle back with some ideas to actually use some of it!! 🙂 If this is the first time you are seeing my feature or need a refresher, click here for my very first post, it gives a little background explanation of my feature!
The next technique in Paper Crafting Tips & Tricks Creating with Product is Patterned Paper. Emily Branch has some great ideas using pattern papers.
- Cut shapes from your pattern paper and arrange them to make unique geometric designs
- Add different patterns to chipboard shapes for a patchwork like an embellishment
- Cut fringe into a paper strip, wrap it around a pencil to make a fringe flower
- Add pattern paper to clear packaging tape to have unique faux masking tape
- Trim a strip of pattern paper, add two scores at each end to make the ribbon look
- Punch the paper in different sizes and add a card for movement
I decided to do some paper piecing, probably one of my of my favorite techniques!! I pulled out Maple & Ink Espresso Yourself stamp set and Crate Paper – Wonder to do my paper piecing. I stamped the coffee mug and latte on a couple different patterns, fussy cut them out and adhered the layers together.
On a white card base, I stamped a few coffee ring outlines and coffee beans in brown ink. Then I added a strip of brown cardstock. Below this, I stamped the It’s Bean a While in a dark brown ink.
I added the coffee cups with foam tape and then last added a few clear and pink sequins. This should give you a few ideas for using up your pattern paper! Because we all have plenty of it, might as well use it!!
