Tea Bag Holder Card

Happy Tuesday, Coffee Loving Friends!
It’s Dana here with another Tuesday crafTEA Time. Today, I’m sharing a tea bag holder card which is not difficult to make. I’m so inspired from Bonnie (a.k.a. salle_de_bonnie on IG)’s creative design and tried to make it by myself. Here is what I came up with.

To start, I trimmed down light pink colored paper by 5 1/2″ x 10 7/8″ and scored it two times at 3 5/8″ and 7 1/4″ to make each heights to 3 5/8″. This tri-fold card base goes well with usual tea bag size around 2 1/2″ x 3″.

I die cut two pink frames using MFT Die-namics Stitched Rectangle Scallop Frames and MFT Die-namics Inside & Out Stitched Rounded Rectangle and let them aside for next step.

For teawares, I die cut them from watercolor paper using MFT Die-namics Tea Party. I created floral pattern on tea pot and tea cup by stamping the images from MFT Cup Of Tea Stamp Set using MFT Bubblegum, Pink Lemonade, Limelight and Limeade Dye
Inks. I stamped tiny sentiment from same stamp set onto tea bag die cut as well.

I then started to make each panels. For the front, I adhered scallop frame and white card stock onto card base. I die cut small channel where I will place a tea cup. I used die from Spellbinders April 2018 Cardmaking Kit. Then, I folded a tea cup by scoring it two times and mounted tea cup and tea pot as shown in the picture.

For second part, I die cut window for tea bag using MFT Die-namics Inside & Out Stitched Rounded Rectangle and adhered pink frame I created in previous step. I mounted tea bag elements with hemp cord as well.

I lightly fixed tea bag onto last panel using glue tape and mounted white card stock which I die cut using MFT Die-namics Inside & Out Stitched Rounded Rectangle.
To finish, I stamped sentiment from MFT Cup Of Tea Stamp Set onto front panel and colored a part of teapot lid using alcohol marker.
