Hello there coffee/tea/cocoa loving crafters! It’s Kerry here and I’m back with another Sunday Sip! This week, I am sharing a card I created using a fun stamp set from Studio Katia. The set “Sweet Latte” is quite a fun set with a lot of itty bitty images. Carbs, Carbs, Carbs and Coffee…Right up my alley!
To create my card, I stamped and watercolored the Mokka Pot onto the watercolor paper wand then used some Nuvo Masking Fluid to mask over the whole image. After speed drying it with my heat gun, I watercolored the background with some super light green, blue and yellow liquid watercolor. After that, I stamped some of the “treats”, watercolored them and cut them out. I stamped a few coffee beans and a few hearts on the background paper too. After that, I mounted all the treats onto the watercolored panel using some foam squares and then mounted this paper onto some Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid printed paper.
To finish the card off, I distressed the edges and added some twine (and a little pearl). Finally, I mounted it onto a 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 card base (topfold)
The finishing touch was adding a bit of glaze to the images. I love how it makes them shine! Look at that sparkle!
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope this card inspires you (and doesn’t make you have a carb overload!) I invite you to play along with the sketch challenge this week. Just create a collage style coffee-licious card inspired by the sketch below and include a link to it in our inlinkz below. 🙂
