Hello there Coffee/Tea/Cocoa Loving crafters! It’s Kerry here and I’m back with another Sunday Sip. Today I’m sharing a card created with some brand spankin’ new products from Butterfly Reflections Ink. I went shopping a few days back and picked up some new goodies from Studio Katia and while I was at it, I stocked up on some Lawn Fawn Spring Perfectly Plaid paper and some Nuvo Drops. This card features these products!
After stamping the strip of white cardstock with the Japanese Peony stamp (and some lime green ink), I stamped and colored the leaves with Copics too. I stamped the sentiment with a darker shade of green and then used my machine to stitch along the edges. I mounted this strip onto a piece of green cardstock and then onto the plaid printed paper. Next, I moved on to diecutting the fun scalloped die called the Fancy Circle Die. I mounted this onto the card using a large foam square and tied it off using some natural thread.
After attaching the diecut, I stamped the teapot and teacup (from the Sweet Latte set) onto the plaid paper and then the teapot onto white cardstock. I colored the teacup with a little Copic coloring.
To finish off the card, i added some drops of Nuvo Drops in coordinating colors. If I could change things, I would probably leave them off…I think I went a bit overboard but oh well.
Like this card? Interested in playing along with the layout? I’ve created a coordinating sketch for you to play with! Join the fun and create a project inspired by this card/sketch and post to our inlinkz below. We’d love to see your creation!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great week!
