Hello there Coffee Loving papercrafters! It’s Kerry here and I’m back with another Sunday Sip and Share post. This week I’m going GREEN as I prepare for St. Patrick’s Day. I’m prepping for fun in my kindergarten classroom and it’s going to include Rainbows, pots of gold and a little sneaky Leprechaun! I love this time of year! I created this fun little card to get me in the MOOOD!
I used the fun Calendar Fun stamp set by Joy Clair Stamps to create the fun and festive gridded background. I colored the images with some green Copics and then doodled up a coordinating cup to hang from my hand-cut lucky cauldron. So fun!
A closer peek at what’s inside the cauldron reveals a few bits o’ gold and green treasure. I also added some more GOLD with the addition of some yummy golden sequin trim. SO DEELISH!
Although this stamp set is a calendar stamp set, I think the “gridded” calendar stamp works perfectly when creating a background full of itty bitty images. The cups and the clover fit nicely confined inside each square and they also allow for some golden and black dots to add to the fun!
Mounting this panel onto a black backing and then onto a Kraft Card Base (a Target Dollar Spot find) makes this card the perfect little treasure ready to send!
Are you diggin’ this layout? If so, you might be interested in playing along with our sketch challenge. The coordinating sketch below was inspired by the card above and we challenge you to join the fun and play along! If you choose to participate, please add a link to your creation in the inlinkz below.
