Guest Designer – March 9

Coffee Loving Cardmakers Guest Designers

Ivy Wong is back again with a fabulous project + giveaway!

Hello coffee and tea lovers! I’m honored to be the guest designer today! Remember to comment on today’s post to be entered for a fun prize.

Besides loving Starbucks coffee, I love their information cards that are clipped to the coffee bean bags they sell. They’re so pretty and are often the inspiration for me when I’m stumped or lack card making mojo. The project am sharing today uses one of their cards. I used the info card as my focal point and made a card around it. Jane’s Doodles’ “Roses” set was perfect for watercoloring a background. I added a pre-cut coffee cup from a recycled coffee sleeve, from my stash by Simon Says Stamp, I have made a few of these cards using those info cards that can be seen herehere and here.

If you’re super nice and ask nicely, the barista will even give you their old signs they hang above their menu and a whole pack of those coffee info cards. lol

Today’s giveaway is the set of 10 cards shown here. Maybe they’ll give you some inspiration for a card. I will also send the winner Lawn Fawn’s stamp shammy. To enter, comment by telling me when you lack card making mojo, what do you do to find inspiration? Winners will be chosen on or after April 22nd. I’m sorry I’m not able to send prizes outside of the US.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Inspiration can be found on Ivy’s Instagram and Flickr.

Love this card !! I also use those info cards !! Your choice of elements is perfect •• they all come together nicely !! When I lack card-making mojo, I open a drawer in my craft room and choose a supply I haven’t seen in awhile .. I then challenge myself to make a card using it ..

What a nice idea! Love these cool cards!
When I lack mojo, I go right to Google Images!! I search a stamp I have, then see if anything strikes me. I also go to Pinterest.. there are very talented ladies , and men too, that share their work and have no idea who they inspire.!! Thanks for sharing!! 🙂

I love your colors designs. Just lovely.
When I am running out of ideas, I would look at magazine, especially homemaking magazine like better home and garden, martha Stewart living etc.

Such a cool idea! I usually fall back on Pinterest for inspiration. Or I Google the stamp set I’m stumped trying to use to find images of cards people made with it to give me a start!

Hmmmm, I’ve never seen those Starbucks info cards but now I may just have to start checking them out at my local Starbucks! When I need a dash of mojo I start to read through my favorite blogs, and sometimes just start pulling out stamps and papers that I haven’t used lately. That usually gets me on the creative path.
