Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Welcome back for another Caffeine Fueled Paper Play!  This time I’m playing along with Super Sponsor Verve Stamps March 2018 Viva La Verve Sketch Challenge!  I just LOVE the two new digi sets that were just released and knew right away I “needed” them.  Here’s the sketch:

And here’s how I was inspired:

You definitely need to check out the DT cards at the challenge post here whether you play along or not!  So inspiring!  All of the gold and green… yup… yummy!  And the two new digi sets, Irish Coffee and Lucky Day!  Awesome!  I started with some Authentique papers and my layout and dies.   I was at a crop and hadn’t brought any of my own dies with me so I used the few sets that live at the crafty center we were at.  They were all from Spellbinders and they ended up being perfect for this layout.  I added my sentiment when I got home:

 I used the sentiment from one of the digi sets and the images from the other for this card.  I love that there are Coffee Sentiments, St. Patrick’s Day Sentiments, and Sentiments that are good for any time!  I’m always looking for great digital sentiments…Especially now that I have my Minc!  I love being able to print and foil some fantastic sentiments and these sets fit the bill for sure!  And even without the foil, the fonts are fantastic and since they are digital you can print them in any size.  I was short on time, so for these I just printed the handy dandy PDF versions that come with both sets and they were all laid out very nicely for me with room to diecut what I wanted to use.  The stitched circle I used for the sentiment is from MFT.  And the lovely foil is from Gina K Designs.  It’s called Gold Sequins and you can get it here!

And these sweet images!  Love them!  I decided to pick up on the little bit of blue that was in the design paper I chose and I love the little bit of contrast it added to the mostly green, gold and white card.  I also love that gold jewelry thread that I used.  It’s one of my favorite additions to a lot of cards.  Although I love using ribbon, I didn’t want it to take over those awesome images so I opted for this pretty gold thread that is just enough to enhance it.  And the teeny flowers from my stash along with my favorite gold gems from CTMH were exactly what I needed to finish it up.
