Hello there Coffee Loving crafty friends! It’s Kerry here and I’m back with another Sunday Sip! This week I decided to ink up a fun sketchy set from Andrea Gomoll called Coffee Queen. I love the sketchy nature of her images and they are so fun to work with.
I initially thought I would stamp and cut the envelopes/mail but then I liked what it was looking like on the flat card base so I just rolled with a ONE LAYER CARD design. Can you believe it?! After stamping up the envies (a little masking of the beans to bring the collage together) and the little beans on the edge, I colored the image with a few Copics and then moved on to Crayola colored pencils. After that, I added the coffee cup because, well, everyone needs a little sip of Joe when opening fun-mail!
After popping the cup up onto the image with foam squares, I added a few crosshatching designs here and there and a few dotty marks for fine measure.
I can’t get over the fact that I did NOT add multiple layers and did not add ribbon/fibers. Yeah. That is quite a surprise! The sketch for this card design is a bit simple too so I hope you find some time to create something fabulous with it! If you choose to create a card inspired by this sketch, please add a link to it in our inlinkz below! 🙂
