Welcome to another Caffeine Fueled Paper Play! Today I’m playing along with the Mix It Up Challenge over at Super Sponsor Sugar Pea Designs! Here’s the Challenge Photo:
At Sugar Pea’s Mix It Up Challenge, you can play with either the sketch side, the inspiration photo side, or both! I chose to play with both and here is how I was inspired:
Sugar Pea Designs has lots of SWEET coffee stamps and dies and I have a few…lol! Among my favorite is this Coffee To Go Cup Sugar Cut set. I was inspired by those pretty candy hearts and their bright springlike colors. To start, I cut out that pretty heart patterned scalloped rectangle using my CDD Fancy Frames dies and some pretty MFT Tiny Hearts Brights Paper. For my layered circles I used the doily dies from Gina Marie Designs and that oh so pretty doily that I got in one of my recent orders from one of our awesome sponsors.. I just can’t remember who… does that mean I’m ordering too frequently?? Probably! (Sorry, Not Sorry)
Although normally my coffee of choice is HOT, I decided on a frappe’ today! The wrap, the cup, the whipped cream and the lid are all from the To Go Cup Sugar Cuts! There are a few other cuts as well, and I love them all! I cut the cup from some scraps of Doodlebug paper I had laying around and the whipped cream from some glitter paper. The lid was cut using some acetate.. it comes with the rounded top and that awesome cinched edge… I used Liquid Glass to glue them together. I popped the cup up and then cut a circle using some Cottage Cutz dies and added these lips from the very adorable Talk is Chic stamp set (you must check that one out).
Those pretty coffee bean branches are on the Perfect Blend stamp set. I colored and fussy cut them. When I started this card, I was positive I’d be using one of the awesome coffee sentiment sets I have from Sugar Pea.. but then I took another look at the Talk is Chic set and I couldn’t deny that this Muah sentiment from that set was just the ticket! It’s pretty big, so I got out this cool banner set that has some fairly large but still kind of thin Fishtail Banners on it from MFT and one of those was just right!
So that’s me for today! Hope you enjoyed your visit and comeback tomorrow for some more coffee fun! I hope you’ll play along with this challenge over at Sugar Pea! You have until March 1st to enter the challenge. All of the rules are in the challenge post here! You are not required to use products from Sugar Pea to play along, but to be eligible to win the randomly drawn $50 shop credit prize, you must use them.
