Welcome to another Caffeine Fueled Paper Play! I wasn’t sure what challenge I’d be able to play along with today because a lot of them go only through the end of a month and then I was reminded that Super Sponsor Newton’s Nook Inky Paws Challenge runs on a little bit different schedule, so I decided to play along with Challenge 64 (Thanks for the inspiration Andrea Shell)! This time around the challenge is a Sketch Challenge and here is the sketch:
And here is how I was inspired:
I started with that oh so pretty heart paper from My Favorite Things Tiny Hearts paper pad and cut the orange piece using the Waffle Flower Crafts Lacy Layers dies as well as the smaller white piece that I ran through my Big Shot with a floral embossing folder. The stitched heart is from MFT’s Stitched Heart Stax.
I needed to make a Valentine card for my husband and I immediately thought of these sets! He loves coffee as much as I do and he can be quite prickly a good part of the time so the sentiment from the Cultivated Cacti stamp set was exactly right! And I love the cacti in the coffee cups from the Cuppa Cactus stamp and die sets. I colored a girl and a boy cactus for each of us.
