Hello everyone… Helen is here today 🙂 I am back with a set of cards that you I create using 4 stamp sets from the Joy Clair Coffee stamp collection. They are one of the blog hop Super Sponsors.
Stamp sets I used on these cards are Coffee Lovers Stamp Set, Coffee Quotes Stamp Set, Christmas Coffee Stamp Set, and Christmas Cocoa Stamp Set.
It is also a great way to stretch your seasonal stamps and use them for different occasions. If you have stamp set with general cups like the ones from Christmas Coffee Stamp Set, and Christmas Cocoa Stamp Set, you can use the cups and mix them up with sentiments from other stamp sets. For example on these cards, I mixed them with the sentiments from Coffee Lovers Stamp Set and Coffee Quotes Stamp Set.
First I created the background using watercolor paper and Distress Ink Pads with smooshing and splattering techniques. To get the different shades of colors, I dried them each time I added colors, so the next one will be built up on top of it. I used craft heater to dried the last layer of colors really well before do the stamping.
After all background panels done, I trimmed them down to slightly smaller that A2 card bases. They are 4″ x 5.25″ panels. Next I stamped the coffee and sentiment using Mini MISTI with Versafine Onyx Black. Using stamping tool such as MISTI, is a great way of getting solid bold images on textured watercolor paper.
After stamping on all panels, I colored the cups with Arteza Real Brush Pens and Wink Of Stella Clear Brush Pen. This way, I get the watercolored glittery look on them at the same time.
Once the panels all colored, one more time I dried them with craft heater and added them to the card with Xtrem Tombow Adhesive runner. I also embellished my card with brown glitter ribbon and brown gems.
Below you can see the details of each card:

And these cards are inspired by the Kerry’s sketch from Sunday Sip…Snow Whimsy post :
I hope you all enjoy this break with me and enjoy your favorite drink! THANKS A LATTE for stopping by!!!
