Guest Designer – January 5

Coffee Loving Cardmakers Guest Designers

We’re so excited to introduce our January/February Guest Designer:  Larissa Heskitt!

Me-2015

I’ve been married to my best friend Adam for 11 years, and we have two handsome boys, Beckett (11 yrs.) and Greyson (4 yrs.). We live on our Family Farm with an Entourage of Animals, and I enjoy EVERY aspect of living a rural life. I’m a Certified Surgical Technician. I enjoy crafting in every way, baking/cooking, gardening, singing, nature and taking photos. I’ve been a creative soul from birth!! I LOVE Spending time with my Family and Friends and meeting/crafting with other creative people I’ve found/met online and through other events. I also LOVE to try new techniques and experiment with my supplies. I look forward to inspiring you, and I cannot even begin to explain how HONORED and EXCITED I am to have the opportunity to guest design with this AWESOME Design Team!!

Now that the Holidays are behind us I thought I’d start with a SWEET Birthday Card!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Images from Newton’s Nook Designs “Cup of Cocoa” and think they are SO versatile for so many occasions!!

IMG_4366_650

I like to Stamp and Emboss all of my Images because I like the Crisp Bold Lines!! I used the Coordinating “Cup of Cocoa” Die Set and Die Cut them out!!

I colored them with my Copic Markers, then added some Tonic Studios Aqua Shimmer Pen and Morning Dew Nuvo Drops to parts of the Images to add some Sparkle and Dimension!!

For the Card Background I used the NND Frames & Flags Die Set and Die Cut the Scalloped Frame!! I used the New Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Heart Die to create a Window for my Sentiment!!

(SHHHHH ~ I’m sharing a SNEAK PEEK of a FUN New Newton’s Nook Designs Stencil coming on January 15th, I hope you’ll join us for the Release Week)

I used Copic Markers to Color the Heart Window and then Inked the Stencil using Tattered Rose Distress Ink!! Water Droplets add a Distressed look!! Then I Stamped and Embossed the Sentiment  from the NND “Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set”!!

I also used Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and Hickory Smoke to Ink up the Background Panel!! Water Droplets and some Aqua Shimmer Pen Splatters add some extra Sparkle and Texture!!

I hope you feel INSPIRED and I look forward to sharing even more over then next two months so I hope you’ll come back and visit to see what I have to share with you!!

THANKS SO MUCH for stopping by and I hope you have a FABULOUS WEEK!!
