Coffee Buzz With Terri – Tree Trimming Gift Cards

coffeebuzzwithterri-1

Happy Monday and welcome to another edition of Coffee Buzz.  For my project today, I’ve made several decorative gift card envelopes that can hang from your tree and can be re-gifted over and over.  Stick around because I’ve got some last minute gift ideas for your favorite coffee book lover, in Coffee Buzz News.  Product links can be found at the link at the end of this post.

I’ll try and be brief and hit the highlights since there’s a lot going on with these envelopes.  First, I’m using DCWV cardstock, basic colors and the plaid is from the Luxe Lodge 12×12 stack.  I used my We R Memory Keepers 123 punch board to make these envelopes on the 2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ measurements which allows for a standard gift card to slip inside.  I also cut a kraft liner for the inside of my gift cards and embossed them with my Tim Holtz embossing folder.  These are obviously going to be filled with coffee gift cards.

For my embellishments, I used the new Graciellie Design SVG Winter Words Bundle to print “cheers” in detail and also in outline.  These files come with both.  All you have to do is load them up to your favorite die cutting machine to cut.  I used my Cricut Explore to cut these and they cut beautifully on the DCWV cardstock.

Those little trees are from a stamp set from Studio L2E and I masked and stamped an entire border, watercoloring with my Marvy Le Plume brush markers and water brush on Strathmore mixed media paper.  I added ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and my adhesives are from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.  Buttons and bells are from Hobby Lobby.  To create the hanging string, either hot glue a double loop to your card, or use a hole punch near the corner, as I did.  Be sure and cut your punch before assembling the envelope.

Now for some Coffee Buzz news.  Recently, I popped over to Amazon looking at coffee books.  Goodness gracious, there are so many,  Some time ago, I downloaded to my Kindle, a comedic/mystery novel about a coffee shop owner and her cat .  I still haven’t finished it.  Perhaps, it’s not the most gripping read?  Which led me on a search for coffee books elsewhere, which led me to:

“Coffee Books – The Sprudge Holiday Buying Guide”

where-to-drink-coffee

They list a handful of books that are mostly technical, however “Where to Drink Coffee”, made my eyes perk up.  Perk up.  Get it?  Seriously though, this book highlights 600 shops spanning across 50 countries; from cafes, bakerys, restaurants and more.  Plus, the contributors are well know writers and coffee pro’s.  You can snag it from Amazon and have it in time to gift to your favorite coffee lover – or yourself!

That’s it for me today.  Thanks for popping in.  You won’t hear back from me until New Years, so I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

If you’d like a listing of links for all the products that I used today, visit my blog at Waving My Wand.  Thanks!  Terri
