Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Welcome to another Caffeine Fueled Paper Play!  This time around I’m playing along with a challenge over at Super Sponsor Your Next Stamp’s Blog!  It’s Sketch and Color Challenge #78:

You can play along with either one or both.  I’m playing along with both!  And here’s how I was inspired:

I just love the Winter Knits paper pad from Your Next Stamp!  (And there is also an adorable coffee themed pad called Crazy For Coffee as well!) It was perfect for this warm and cozy scene… I’d buy that sweater!  I cut the Winter Knit layer using one of my favorite background dies from Craftin Desert Divas, Crazy Stitched Frames.  I cut my red vellum layer to the size I wanted that wouldn’t cover up the background stitching and was just a bit bigger than my oval and then embossed it with the Taylored Expressions Winter Flurry Embossing Folder.

And then of course this cute YNS Sweet Holiday Greetings stamp set!  Those cute little Santa and penguin mugs of yummy goodness… the cookies!  And the Sweet sentiment!  Adorable!  I stamped mine in Ranger Archival Ink on watercolor paper because I knew I’d be using my watercolor pencils to color them in.  I’d buy those mugs!  (And I’d definitely eat those cookies.. mmm … sugar cookies).

I finished it off with some white ribbon from D.L. Art, a badge button from my stash that I bought oh so long ago, some red gems and that cute greeting from the stamp set.  It actually says Sweet Holiday Greetings, but the whole sentiment was too long to add it anywhere on this set, so I stamped parts of it onto white paper and made little banners.. then a little strategic tucking of my ribbon and it was done.
